The Da Vinci code...
I juszt finished reading it today and I'll be making a brief review (hopefully spoiler-free)
The beginning predicts nothing so deep that would go against the religion of Christianity. I never expected it to play out so convincingly. From the murder, Langdon was forced to run from the law the whole time along with Sophie Neveu while following clues set by Jacques, Sophie's grandfather.
Around halfway through the book, the truth starts to unfold about her grandfather and the cult he was involved in. What makes it so intriguing is the actual facts behind the story. Even the descriptions of controversy regarding the paintings artfully done by Leonardo Da Vinci were true once a complete check was done. Proof of this can of course be found in the pictures, such as The Last Supper and Madonna of The Rocks.
Truth be told, I was scared to actually continue reading do to the information that was fighting against the Christian religion. However, the gripping effect of the storyline compelled me to continue reading. Took me 3 days, it did. But most of it is exxagerated elaboration of the actual fact making it seem like so and so.
Ok ok, maybe it's not THE BEST synopsis you've ever seen. But I do recommend you to at least borrow the book from someone (thanks, Christina) and actually sit down and have a good read. Although it ties in closely to Christianity, others who are not of the same religion may still understand the storyline.
And with that, I bid you adiƩu...
